JACK WOOD

Latin American Mission Board is a continuation of the many years Shady Acres has been  giving to world missions.

Sometime during the 1970´s to the 1980´s, Pastor Jack Wood had a dream of starting a mission board focused specifically for the Latin American countries. His vision saw national pastors working in their own country. The benefits of this include already knowing the language, knowing the culture, and needing less funds for the work. It has been over thirty years now since the seed was planted to start this work, but it is now beginning to develop. Through Pastor Wood’s daughter, Sis Marsha Farley, the burden to reach Latin America grows stronger than ever.

Even though Shady Acres Baptist Church has been supporting national pastors for many years through the faith promise mission  program, we believe that through this ministry of our church we can help  these nationals raise support, gather material, and create  special projects in these Latin countries.
